On this tour, we’ll explore every aspect of a complex geography—one that ranges from austere landscapes to cliffs plunging into stormy waves, sunsets that extinguish the last glimmers of light over Europe, cities rich in folklore, music, and excellent restaurants, as well as cathedrals and shrines that hold the prayers and offerings of those who, over the centuries, have sought answers here. The music of the ever-present fado, played in Lisbon’s lively bars and on the streets, and the warmth of the handshakes and smiles of its generous people will be our faithful traveling companions.
Cities to Discover. Along the way, we’ll also discover true treasures that deserve a careful and dedicated visit, because they reveal the two extremes of a country that’s waiting to be understood. This tour involves departure by plane. You will be able to leave from the airport of your choice, depending also on flight availability, and you will meet the rest of the group and chaperone directly at your destination.
You can make your travel experience even more personal by adding an extension of a few days at the beginning or end of the tour. We then always provide some optional excursions for an even more flexible experience.
At the start of the trip, the tour guide will collect the mandatory fee of €70 per person. This amount includes entrance fees to museums, monuments and any taxes to be paid locally. It should also be noted that gratuities for the driver and escort are not included; while not mandatory, they are appreciated as recognition for the quality of work performed.

In Lisbon, you can opt to join an optional dinner accompanied by a fado performance, followed by a scenic bus tour of the city.
From Lisbon, you can take an optional excursion to the three towns of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril, as well as the spectacular Boca do Inferno.
In Porto, you can embark on a mini-cruise on the Douro River, followed by an optional seafood dinner at a traditional Portuguese restaurant.
From Porto, you can take an optional excursion to Guimarães, the “cradle of Portugal,” with its beautiful historic center.
