A magical land, an open-air museum featuring relics from ancient times and endless landscapes: from Mount Nebo to Madaba, from the site of Jerash to the city carved into the pink rock of Petra, all the way to the healing waters of the Dead Sea. The highlight of the trip is the Wadi Rum Desert, the “Valley of the Moon”: a night in a tented camp, tea served in an authentic Bedouin camp, and the most spectacular starry sky in Jordan. An 8-day, 7-night guided tour departing in late December—the perfect way to end the year under the desert stars.

Program

• Day 1 — Departure from and arrival in Amman: transfer to the hotel and free time, dinner at the hotel or on the flight. Accommodations at the Ambassador, a Boutique Hotel (4 stars)
• Day 2 — Amman–Jerash: the vast archaeological site of Jerash and, in the afternoon, a tour of Amman, including the mosque, the souk, the Citadel with its Archaeological Museum, and the Roman Theater. Accommodations at the Ambassador, a Boutique Hotel (4 stars)
• Day 3 — Mount Nebo–Madaba–Umm al-Rasas–Wadi Rum: the monument dedicated to Moses, the mosaic Map of the Holy Land, the King’s Highway, and the UNESCO site at Umm al-Rasas. An evening in the desert with a Bedouin dinner and an overnight stay in a tented camp at Sun City Camp; partially transparent “Martian” tents are available upon request
• Day 4 — Wadi Rum–Beida–Petra: 4×4 jeep tour through the wind-smoothed rocky mountains, tea or coffee at a campsite, and a visit to Beida, the “Little Petra,” a stopover for caravans from Arabia. Accommodations at the Petra Canyon Hotel (4 stars)
• Day 5 — Petra: A full day exploring the wonders of Jordan’s iconic city, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World: as you pass through the Siq, you’ll come upon the facade of the Treasury. Accommodations at the Petra Canyon Hotel (4 stars)
• Day 6 — Petra–Dead Sea: Free afternoon to relax in the healing waters of the Dead Sea. Accommodations at the Holiday Inn Resort (5-star)
• Day 7 — Dead Sea: A full day of floating, relaxation, and wellness; in the morning, an optional excursion to the UNESCO site of Bethany beyond the Jordan. Accommodations at the Holiday Inn Resort (5-star)
• Day 8 — Return: a few final hours at leisure, followed by a transfer to Amman Airport for the return flight to Italy

The tour is led by a local, Italian-speaking guide and includes a bus reserved exclusively for the group; tours are confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants, and the maximum number of participants is approximately 30–35.

The fee includes

• Round-trip flight with baggage allowance and airport taxes included, plus departure assistance from Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, and Venice Marco Polo
• Airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-airport transfers, and travel by GT bus for the exclusive use of guests
