On the Via Francigena from San Miniato to Lake Bolsena
A bike trip along one of Europe’s most iconic pilgrimage routes, through hills, vineyards, cypress trees, dirt roads, and medieval villages. An active and authentic experience that winds through the heart of Tuscany and reaches Lake Bolsena, following the timeless charm of the Via Francigena.
Program
- Friday: Arrival in San Miniato
- Saturday: San Miniato – San Gimignano (about 42 km, elevation gain of 840 m)
- Sunday: San Gimignano – Buonconvento (about 84 km, elevation gain of 1,130 m)
- Monday: Buonconvento – Bagno Vignoni
- Tuesday: Bagno Vignoni – Radicofani
- Wednesday: Radicofani – Bolsena – Lugano (about 60 km, elevation gain of 950 m)
The Experience
The route alternates between quiet side roads and picturesque dirt roads, with varied and engaging terrain.
This guided tour is intermediate-level and is designed for riders with moderate cycling experience who want to explore the area with the support of a professional guide, as well as mechanical and logistical assistance.
