Also new for 2026 is the Austria tour : e-bikes and lakeside walks, an immersion in the landscapes of the Salzkammergut region, the green heart of Austria, to be traversed on easy walking and biking routes, even climbing the Schafberg mountain aboard a traditional steam rack railway.

Nature frescoes. The Salzkammergut is the lake region of Austria, an enchanted and picturesque place where you can find vistas that give peace and warm the heart. Between the massive outlines of the Alps and the crystal-clear splendor of the many bodies of water, here you can experience all the best that Austria has to offer in summer: outdoor hiking, biking and even steam train rides, local flavors, nature and plenty of quiet.
Around the lakes. The landscapes of this area are to be experienced, not just admired. So it will be a good opportunity to get some healthy exercise, with easy hikes suitable for everyone along the shores of the most enchanting lakes. We will take leisurely walks and an electric bike ride on the Wolfgangsee, with a few stops to discover local traditions and taste Austrian cuisine and pastries, at leisure. It will be the best way to get to know this region on the go but without rushing, taking the time to fully appreciate it.
By train over the mountains. We will also have the opportunity to board the Schafbergbahn, Austria’s oldest steam rack railway, to climb all the way to the top of Schafberg Mountain and view an idyllic panorama. An experience that evokes fairy-tale atmospheres, which will make us feel at one with our surroundings and fill our hearts with wonder.

This tour is conducted entirely by bus. You can depart from numerous locations throughout Italy, arriving at the tour starting point via an approach shuttle or, if available, using our shared Partenza Sotto Casa service.
This trip from the Active Tours line is dedicated to those who want to discover the world without giving up some healthy exercise. The tour will include times of physical activity suitable for everyone, so you can get your fill of energy in peace and without forcing.
At the beginning of the trip, the chaperone will collect the mandatory lump sum of about €30 per person. This amount includes entrance fees to museums, monuments and any taxes to be paid locally. It should also be noted that gratuities for the driver and escort are not included; while not mandatory, they are appreciated as recognition for the quality of work performed.
